Tips for Art Print Home Design
Share
Hello Dear Friends,
Lately I’ve been thinking about how we turn houses, apartments, or even small rented rooms into something more us— a place that feels like home. And one of the quiet, beautiful ways we do that is through art.
Whether it’s one little print above your desk, or a full gallery wall in the living room, the art you choose makes that place more cozy and with lovely vibes. Your taste, your mood, your memories, your dreams. That’s the magic of it.
So today, I wanted to share a few soft, simple ideas for how to decorate your space with prints. Nothing fancy — just thoughtful little touches that can make a space feel more personal, cozy, and inspired.
1. Start with What You Love
You don’t need to follow trends or match a color palette perfectly. Begin with a piece that makes you feel something — calm, joy, happiness, love, or harmony. Art is more than décor; it’s a feeling. Trust your instinct, and go from there.
2. Mix Sizes for Interest
Try combining larger statement prints with smaller ones. A single bold piece above a sofa or bed can create a peaceful focal point, while a mix of small to medium prints in a hallway or above a reading nook can feel like a story unfolding. As You know - my prints are only in one size for each series. I do it with purpose - Vadelma Prints - is not a printing company, but who know maybe in future I will release prints in other sizes?
3. Go Beyond the Walls
Lean a framed print on a shelf, a dresser, or even the floor. Layer it with a stack of books, a candle, or a little vase. This casual style adds warmth and personality — like the art just belongs there. It is a cool idea, and it gives You more flexibility. You can play around with it.
4. Think in Seasons or Moods
Some people like to swap out art as the seasons change — lighter florals in spring, deep hues in winter. It’s a gentle way to reflect your current mood or the rhythm of the world outside your window. And let’s now forget about Christmas - then I love to have everything in those magical - cozy - winter - fireplace - warm cacao - vibes.
5. Group with Meaning
When curating a gallery wall, don’t overthink “perfect balance.” Instead, group pieces that speak to each other — maybe they share a color, a feeling, or a memory. Include one or two unexpected pieces (a sketch, a pressed flower, a handwritten quote) to add texture.
6. Let Your Space Grow Slowly
You don’t need to fill every wall right away. Let your art collection grow over time, as you discover new pieces and new parts of yourself. A slowly curated space feels alive, layered with time and care. Here, where limited prints directly from an artist come handy. Instead of buying 10 pieces at once, You really need to wait until something new is released. Well, we all know that from the times, where new music from Your favorite artist was made once in a few years. It is still like that, but the never stop flow of new things is a bit too much. At least for me. That’s why I have such an approach with Vadelma Prints. To slow down.
At Vadelma Prints, every piece I create is meant to be lived with. I love imagining my prints not just hanging in homes, but becoming part of them — part of morning light over breakfast, part of quiet evenings, part of your own story.
Thank you for inviting my art into your spaces. And if you ever want help choosing pieces or pairing them together, I’m just an email away.
Wishing you peace, inspiration, and that special feeling of home.
